Homecoming

Pages (492-493)
Liesel has formed such a great bond with Papa and suffers while he is gone. She is relieved and happy once he comes back home. There is a moment where he stands at the door and death describes memories that were made standing in his very spot. Liesel's home first wasn't her home when she arrived. Max knocked on that same door when he was in desperate need of help. A home so small carries so many memories.

Do You Want To Run Away Together?

Do you want to run away together?
We could go to the most dangerous place
Stand and talk in the shadows
Gaze at a wondrous cologne sky
I'm starving for a surreal experience
